Social Worker
Job Description
The Social Worker will provide vital support and resources to individuals, families, and groups facing various challenges, including mental health issues, financial difficulties, and family crises. This role involves conducting psychosocial assessments, developing care plans, and connecting clients with appropriate services and resources. The Social Worker will also provide counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy, ensuring that clients’ rights and needs are met. In addition to direct client services, the Social Worker will collaborate with community organizations, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to the development of community programs. This position demands empathy, resourcefulness, and a strong commitment to social justice and client well-being.
Job Requirements
A valid Social Worker license.
Previous experience in healthcare, community services, or child welfare settings.
Strong ability to conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Proficient in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and providing emotional support.
Familiarity with local social service resources, including housing, financial assistance, and mental health services.
Experience working with diverse populations, including children, the elderly, and vulnerable individuals.
Ability to manage complex cases involving multiple agencies and service providers.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in social work, including confidentiality and mandatory reporting.
Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with case management software.
Ability to advocate for clients’ rights and needs within various systems.
