Cleaner / Janitorial Staff
Job Description
The Cleaner/Janitorial Staff will ensure that all assigned areas of the facility are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained, providing a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This role includes performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, as well as more specialized tasks like disinfecting surfaces, polishing floors, and cleaning restrooms. The Cleaner/Janitorial Staff will also be responsible for restocking supplies, emptying trash bins, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, may be required.
Job Requirements
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
Understanding of safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliability and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
Ability to identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
