Kinesiologist
Job Description
The Kinesiologist will design and implement exercise programs that improve clients’ physical health, prevent injuries, and enhance athletic performance. This role involves conducting fitness assessments, developing personalized exercise plans, and providing guidance on proper exercise techniques. The Kinesiologist will work with a wide range of clients, including athletes, individuals recovering from injuries, and those looking to improve their overall health. The role includes providing ergonomic assessments, conducting movement screenings, and offering advice on injury prevention strategies. The Kinesiologist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive care and may be involved in research or educational workshops.
Job Requirements
A degree in kinesiology or a related field.
Certification as a kinesiologist, with experience in exercise prescription and rehabilitation.
Strong understanding of human movement science, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.
Experience in developing personalized exercise programs for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement.
Ability to conduct fitness assessments and monitor clients’ progress using objective measures.
Experience working with diverse populations, including athletes, seniors, and individuals with chronic conditions.
Proficient in providing ergonomic assessments and recommendations for workplace wellness.
Familiarity with corrective exercise techniques and functional movement screening.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate clients.
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
